Urban Infra Structure (Elective):

Two Hours Lecture, Two Credit Hours

III.             COURSE OBJECTIVES:   

The solutions and experiences in urban information systems dealing with Urban Infra Structure will be presented to students. The GIS – based Urban Information System provides integrated maintenance and management of urban infra structure such as roads, water supplies and drainage, gas, heating, etc.,.Urban planning and roads. The stable city development through qualitative improvement of services for public welfare. Scientific job management and disaster prevention will be discussed in problem – based studio workshops, which will lead students to develop a final report.

 

 

IV.              COURSE OUTLINE

 

 

WEEK 1,2,3,4

Integrated maintenance and management of urban infra structure such as roads, water supplies and drainage, gas, heating, etc.,. Urban planning and roads.

 

 

WEEK 5,6,7,8

Scientific job management and disaster prevention methods through GIS techniques

 

WEEK 9

Mid – Term Examination.

 

WEEK 10,11,12

Problem – based studio workshops

 

WEEK 13

General discussion on final reports.

 

 

WEEK 14

Mid – Term Examination.

 

V.            GRADING:

Two Mid Term axaminations will be averaged and affect the grade by 50 %. Final exam will be the 50 % of the resulting grade.
